Southern Alum Selected for Musical Honor
Jerrell R. Gray has been selected to the NATS Mentoring Program for Composers
Southern University alum Jerrell R. Gray has been selected as a Mentoree to the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) Art Song Mentoring Program for Composers. Mr. Gray was one of 10 composers awarded this opportunity which, in its first year, targeted composers from underrepresented groups, with an emphasis on Black composers. Mr. Gray will work with his mentor, composer Andrea Clearfield from October 2020 to June 2021 with one-to-one online contact approximately once a month.
