Southern University Alumni Federation welcomes new students at Academic Signing Day on Saturday
High school graduation is right around the corner for many students across the nation, and thousands have chosen Southern University as their new home. To welcome them into the family, the Southern University Alumni Federation is hosting its 5th Annual National Academic Signing Day event on Saturday, March 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Southern University Campus Event Center. This event is for high school seniors that have provisionally been accepted to one of the three undergraduate campuses of the Southern University System- Southern University Baton Rouge, Southern University Shreveport and Southern University at New Orleans.
This event allows prospective students an opportunity to be celebrated and to fellowship with their future peers. Attendees at the Baton Rouge campus will also have the opportunity to complete the university registration process with the Office of Enrollment Management.
For prospective students that are too far away to travel to Baton Rouge, Southern University Alumni Federation chapters in more than 10 locations will hold and live stream simultaneous events for students in the area. In Louisiana, signing day events will also be held in Alexandria, Lake Charles, New Orleans and Shreveport. In California, events will be held Los Angeles and Sacramento. In Texas, events will be held in Austin, Dallas and Houston. Other locations include Atlanta, Georgia; Cincinnati, Ohio; and Washington, D.C.
This event is free and open to prospective students and their families. To register for the event, visit http://bit.ly/2OtjZ92. For more information, please contact Carlton Jones at carlton.jones9@gmail.com.
