Southern University celebrates Homecoming activities on Sept. 27 - Oct. 3
Southern University and A&M College welcomes all students, alumni, community members and supporters to its annual Homecoming festivities on Sunday, Sept. 27 through Saturday, Oct. 3. Themed, “Nobody Does it Better,” activities include a variety of events for all ages, including Lacumba’s Lair, the chancellor’s elevated tailgate experience, as the Southern Jaguars prepare for the big game against the Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions in A.W. Mumford Stadium.
Homecoming week kicks off with the parade on Sunday at 1 p.m. in the Scotlandville community. Immediately following is a music festival on campus that will feature local vendors, live entertainment and more. The week continues with several events, including the annual ecumenical service, Miss Southern's coronation, Greek Show, alumni mixers and more.
Fans attending the football game should review the stadium policies before arriving at A.W. Mumford Stadium. Southern University Athletics maintains a clear bag policy. For the complete list of stadium rules and details on the clear bag policy, click here.
