The wireless network uses radio frequency signals to connect and anyone can eavesdrop on your network usage. This means that someone can potentially see your user name and password and whatever else you may be working on.

The SU wireless network uses encryption when you log into the network giving you a secure transmission and will continue to be secure on the wireless network. If you open another page using any web browser it is important that you check to make sure that the site does offer encryption. You can tell if a site is encrypted by checking to see if there is a padlock present in the bottom right corner of the browser.
