Southern University graduate, Lt. Gen. Russel Honoré will be one of a select group of people invited to participate in the “Hero Summit” being presented Oct. 10 in Washington, D.C., by the popular news website The Daily Beast.

It’s all good news from Southern University’s Army ROTC program. The SU AROTC is now top ranked among Historically Black Colleges and Universities in the AROTC’s 6th Brigade, topping units at schools including Grambling State, Florida A&M and Jackson State universities.

Welcome back for the 2013-14 academic year. We are well into the semester, but are still confirming our final enrollment numbers. We do know that this semester has been successful with the dramatic increase in First-Year Students.

Southern University Chancellor James Llorens signed a joint agreement Wednesday with the top administrator of a college in Turkey that will mean a coordination of programs and student exchanges.
