The Center for Service Learning completed its annual food drive earlier this week and gave barrels of canned goods and non-perishable items to the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank.

Southern University’s Office of Career Service received a $5,000 donation from the Monsanto Company. The donation was made Monday during a visit with Acting Chancellor Flandus McClinton.

Dr. Rambabu Bobba has been selected by the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board to receive a prestigious Fulbright Fellowship to India.

Southern University graduate Brig. Gen. Craig Crenshaw has been nominated by President Barack Obama to receive a second star, promoting him to the rank of Major General in the U.S. Marine Corps.
