Housing Waiting List

Thank you for your interest in living on campus at Southern University and A&M College.

At this time, we are accepting applications for the Fall 2026 housing waitlist. Please be advised that the waitlist will remain open only until we receive enough applications to fill the beds currently available on campus. Once we have received sufficient applications to accommodate the available spaces, the waitlist application will close.

Submitting a waitlist application does not guarantee a housing assignment. Students are encouraged to complete the application as soon as possible while the waitlist remains open.

Please continue to monitor the Southern University Housing website for updates regarding housing availability, waitlist status, and any changes to the application process.

Students who are not able to secure on-campus housing are encouraged to explore off-campus housing options. Cadence is the University's preferred off-campus housing partner; however, the selection of any off-campus housing is solely at the discretion of the student and their family. Additional off-campus housing resources and recommendations are available through our Residential Life & Housing Office.

Please note that Southern University and A&M College does not own, operate, manage, or supervise off-campus housing facilities. Any lease agreement or housing arrangement entered into with an off-campus property is a private agreement between the student (and/or their family) and the property owner or management company. The University assumes no responsibility or liability for the condition, management, security, policies, services, or actions occurring at any off-campus housing location, including Cadence or any other privately owned apartment community.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to accommodate as many students as possible. We encourage you to complete your application promptly while the waitlist is available.
