Move-In Mania
Spring 2027 Move-In Information
Welcome Home, Jaguars!
Dear Jaguars,
Welcome back to Southern University and A&M College! Housing & Residential Life is excited to welcome you to campus for the Spring 2027 semester. We look forward to making your return to campus a smooth and successful experience.
Please review the following move-in instructions carefully to ensure you are prepared for check-in.
Spring 2027 Check-In Dates
January 7–8, 2027
Students should check in at the residence hall or apartment office of their assigned building to receive instructions for completing the check-in process.
Students will also be permitted to check in over the weekend, provided they have completed all required enrollment procedures before arriving.
Step 1: Complete Your Enrollment
All students must complete enrollment for the Spring 2027 semester before moving into campus housing.
Students who have not completed enrollment will not be permitted to check in or move into their assigned space.
Please make sure all required enrollment steps are finalized before arriving on campus.
Step 2: Review Your Housing Assignment
Before arriving, confirm your housing assignment and assigned residence hall or apartment. Be sure you know which building you are assigned to so you can report to the correct office for check-in.
Step 3: Check In at Your Assigned Building
On January 7–8, 2027, report directly to the office of your assigned residence hall or apartment to begin the check-in process.
Students arriving over the weekend must also report to their assigned building's office and must have completed enrollment before checking in.
Step 4: Resolve Any Outstanding Balances
Important: Prior-year or prior-semester balances will not be accepted for move-in clearance.
Students should ensure that all required financial and enrollment obligations are addressed before arriving for check-in. Please contact the appropriate university office if you have questions about your account or enrollment status.

- Once you arrive, look for the check-in stations to get off to the right start. You’ll be guided by signs and helpful staff every step of the way.
- Get your Student Data Form ready: You'll need a printed copy of your Student Data Form (emailed to you at the end of July).
- Arrive on time: Please aim to arrive no more than 10 minutes before your scheduled move-in time. Early birds? You'll be redirected to the exit lane to wait until your designated time. Late arrivals? We’ll do our best to accommodate, but there’s no guarantee it will be at your scheduled time.

- Parking: After you’ve checked in, park in a designated parking space.
- Each student is allowed up to two cars. If you’re towing a U-Haul or trailer, that counts as two vehicles.
- If you’ve got a third car, please park it in a perimeter lot on campus before coming to the staging area. You won’t be able to bring it into the move-in area.
