Admission to Southern University and A&M College and admission

Bachelor's Degree + Initial Teacher Certification
Undergraduate teacher education candidates progress through
the School of Education's teacher preparation sequence,
beginning with pre-teacher preparation and continuing through
admission to teacher preparation, methodology and field
experiences, year-long teacher residency, graduation, and
certification.

Master's Degree + Initial Teacher Certification
Master of Arts in Teaching candidates complete a graduate
teacher preparation pathway that includes admission to the
School of Education, practitioner licensure experiences,

experiences, and program completion requirements.
