Record your attendance each day you report to your assigned residency site. Attendance should be submitted daily in accordance with Teacher Residency attendance procedures.

Apply for Teacher Residency
Begin the application process for the year-long Teacher Residency.
Teacher Residency Application
Candidates preparing to begin the year-long Teacher Residency must satisfy applicable residency entry requirements and submit the Teacher Residency Application by the deadline for their intended entry cycle.
Spring–Fall Residency
Application and applicable residency entry requirements must be completed by November 15.
Fall–Spring Residency
Application and applicable residency entry requirements must be completed by April 15.
Candidates who do not satisfy the applicable residency entry requirements and application deadline will be considered for the next available residency cycle.
Current Residents
Complete required daily attendance reporting and report absences or tardiness.
Report an Absence or Tardiness
Use the Residency Absence Reporting Form to report an absence, tardiness, or other attendance-related matter. Residents must also follow all required notification procedures outlined by the Teacher Residency Program.

Mentor teachers and university supervisors are essential partners in preparing the next generation of educators.
Become a Mentor Teacher
Experienced educators interested in supporting a Southern University teacher resident may submit their information for consideration as a mentor teacher.
Become a University Supervisor
Qualified educators and instructional leaders interested in supporting, observing, and providing feedback to Southern University teacher residents may submit their information for consideration as a university supervisor.
Current Residency Participant?
Weekly residency documentation, lesson planning materials, observation forms, co-teaching tools, partnership agreements, portfolio requirements, evaluation materials, and other course-specific resources are provided directly to current residents, mentor teachers, and university supervisors.
